Harley-davidson 1942 Wla Ww2 750cc Harley Davidson Army Motorcycle
1942 WLA Type III, 750cc, 45ci Harley Davidson. Unlike many WLA’s this one has served its country proud. Was purchased out of the Netherlands approx. 8 years ago (That Bill of Sales included). WLA #38763 came home exactly 60 years after being assembled in Milwaukee WI. Has been displayed in several museums, bike shows, featured in parades and military memorial services. She always draws a crowd from 5 year olds to 90 year olds. Transmission has been thoroughly rebuilt, new clutch, new primary chain, rebuilt generator with new armature, new battery, new front tire and spokes, and rebuilt linkert M-88 carb with new parts. Starts on the first kick and putts down the road at 40-45mph nicely. Leaks oil, but doesn’t burn it. I haven’t looked inside motor, would recommend a rebuild in the future. Still missing a few items, like spot light, skid plate, and saddle bags, all that can easily be purchased.
Includes a rare original Olive Drab cold weather windshield apron, original paint leg shields, “E” tool, gun prop, the saddle bags shown in pic, the Army sleeping bag, ammo belt, and the parts manual. Baseball glove not included. No Title, just bill of sale.
Speed-o-meter and parts manual have been signed by Willie G Davidson.
